Poet. Writer. Essayist. Librarian.

Raised in Chatham Ontario, Brittany Renaud moved to London Ontario to achieve her Bachelor of Arts with an Honors Specialization in Creative Writing and English Language and Literature as well as a Minor in Comparative Literature and Culture at Western University. Upon graduating in 2016, she spent a few years pursuing her poetry career before returning to Western to complete her Masters of Librarian and Information Sciences. 

Renaud debuted her first chapbook, The Algonquin Park Experiments (published by 845 Press) in October 2019. Renaud has also been published in Harmonia Press, Synaeresis, Occasus, and The Temz Review. She was awarded 3rd place and an Honorable Mention for her experimental writing in Occasus, and was also a 2019 judge for the Alfred Poynt Poetry Award, an award she won herself in 2016.

Renaud has collaborated and featured at multiple local events including Couplets with Christine Thorpe in October 2016, SoFar Sounds in April 2017, MoMondays in June 2018 and the Mykonos Open Mic Poetry Series in March 2019. In addition, Renaud was a member of the London Open Mic Poetry committee as well as host and organizer of  the “Ridin’ Wordy.”  Renaud was also part of the team representing London Ontario at CFSW (Canadian Festival of Spoken Words) in October 2018.

Renaud has experience with prose, poetry, and experimental writing and a special interest in gender, sexuality, nature, and camping.
